Project goals

Renovate and upgrade two residential units within a historic villa, respecting the landscape value of the surrounding park while maintaining a classic and welcoming atmosphere.

Site conditions

The apartments were in a state of decay, with outdated systems and disorganized spaces. The villa, set within a prestigious park, required an intervention to preserve its original features while improving functionality.

Design approach

In both apartments, the renovation preserved the main historical elements — terracotta floors, coffered ceilings, and brick vaults — while integrating new aesthetic and functional solutions. Spaces were reorganized to create a fluid and functional flow between living and sleeping areas, preserving the charm and sophistication of the villa.

Details and materials

In the main ground-floor apartment, warm and enveloping colors were paired with timeless, traditionally styled furnishings that still provide modern comfort. The space is enhanced by large arched windows that flood the living area with natural light. In the second, smaller apartment, a different approach was chosen: vibrant wall colors contrasted with brick vaults and contemporary furnishings, resulting in a dynamic and up-to-date atmosphere.
