Italy

A bar/restaurant in Brescia redesigned with different atmospheres and identities.

Year
2020 – 2021

Project goals

The goal was to renovate and redesign a bar/restaurant, creating functional spaces with distinct design identities to attract a refined clientele.

Site conditions

The existing venue was outdated and required a complete renewal of the interior spaces to improve functionality and fully integrate the basement level.

Design approach

The ground floor features a large wooden counter and wall boiseries, giving the main dining area a warm, rustic character. The lounge, with its large windows, was designed with a more modern and relaxing atmosphere, ideal for aperitifs and informal gatherings. In the basement, the renovation transformed the large hall into a flexible space where the modular table layout allows the venue to adapt to different needs, making it suitable for dinners, events, and conferences.

Details and materials

The rustic feel of the main areas is enhanced by the use of wood, exposed beams, and brick arches, while each zone has its own unique identity. The lounge, for example, is furnished with colorful armchairs, poufs, and low tables, creating an intimate and welcoming setting. Hanging chandeliers with green inserts echo the vibrant artwork on the walls. In contrast, the large basement hall is defined by black walls, red curtains, and cascading chandeliers, giving it an elegant, sophisticated look and making it ideal for hosting important events.
