Renovation of a residential building’s facades in Brescia
Italy
A facade renovation that brings new elegance and uniformity to a large residential building through a thoughtful use of color.
Year
2022 – 2023
Project goals
The main goal was to enhance a large residential building, improving its visual impact and integration within the urban context without altering its architectural character. The project aimed to give new life to the facades, making them more contemporary and refined.
Site conditions
The building showed signs of weathering on its surfaces and had an outdated pastel yellow color, which contributed to an overall neglected appearance.
Design approach
The renovation focused exclusively on the exterior finishes, fully respecting the existing volumes. The key element was the redesign of the color palette, introducing more natural and sophisticated tones to highlight the architectural rhythm of the building and add greater visual depth.
Details and materials
The new finish involved the use of high-quality, long-lasting paints resistant to weathering, in a range of neutral and sandy shades. A lighter color was applied to the main body of the building, while a darker tone was used to emphasize the wide balconies.
