Renovation of a residential building’s facades in Brescia
Italy
A simple yet meaningful project: the renewal of the facades brought order and brightness back to a neighborhood building, improving its appearance without financial strain for residents thanks to the Bonus Facciate incentive.
Year
2021 – 2022
Project goals
The aim was to restore the aesthetic quality of the “Condominio Ferrovieri” in Brescia, taking advantage of the Bonus Facciate program to improve the building’s appearance and enhance the surrounding architectural context, with minimal costs for residents.
Site conditions
Before the renovation, the building showed worn surfaces, uneven and faded colors, and clear signs of weathering and age. The overall look appeared heavy and disordered.
Design approach
The strategy was minimal but effective: a new, more balanced and understated color palette was introduced to bring harmony to the facade and improve the perception of the entire block, while respecting the original structure.
Details and materials
Durable, environmentally friendly paints were used. The work included cleaning surfaces, repairing damaged plaster, and redefining the existing decorative frames.
